Batuta
About Batuta
The Batuta is not a
wine made every year. The base of this wine is the Carril vineyard, over 70
years old, as well as other old vineyards (about 100 years old), near the
Quinta de Nápoles. This wine is the result of a careful selection in the
vineyard and table of choice of the wine cellar, and a delicate winemaking with
the macerations taken to the limit, where all the details are taken into
account to obtain a complex, fine and elegant wine. The wine staggered in
French oak barrels for a period of 20 to 22 months, presenting intense and
loaded colour, with great intensity and aromatic complexity. In the mouth, it has
great breadth and precision, it is austere, with discrete black fruit, very
focused on minerality , has a large structure with velvet tannins and a
seductive freshness. All combined in a long and very persistent end to a long
life in the bottle and a great potential for aging.
